This is not a desk-only management position. The right person will lead a team of approximately **10 technicians** while remaining capable of jumping into difficult repairs alongside them. The fleet is approximately **90% Caterpillar equipment**, making strong CAT diagnostic and repair experience one of the most important qualifications for the position. 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗬𝗢𝗨’𝗟𝗟 𝗗𝗢 • Lead, coach, and support approximately 10 technicians • Manage work orders, repair priorities, and daily shop workflow • Diagnose and repair Caterpillar and other heavy equipment • Remain hands-on with complex repairs when the team needs support • Help technicians troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, engine, drivetrain, and other equipment issues • Monitor repair quality, productivity, and equipment uptime • Coordinate preventive maintenance and major repairs • Help create a positive, accountable, team-oriented shop environment • Communicate repair priorities and equipment status with company leadership • Perform or assist with fabrication and welding repairs when needed 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗪𝗘’𝗥𝗘 𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗙𝗢𝗥 • Strong hands-on heavy equipment repair experience • **Significant Caterpillar equipment experience strongly preferred** • Ability to diagnose and complete major mechanical repairs • Experience working with engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, powertrain, and related heavy-equipment systems • **Welding and fabrication experience strongly preferred** • Previous leadership, lead technician, foreman, or supervisory experience • Ability to earn the respect of experienced technicians by working alongside them • Mature, dependable, positive attitude • Strong communication and organizational skills • Someone who values teamwork, accountability, and a people-first work environment 𝗪𝗛𝗬 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗥𝗢𝗟𝗘 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗦 𝗢𝗨𝗧 You’ll be leading a real heavy-equipment operation — not sitting behind a desk.
