Reefer Technician - McCook, IL
Pay: $36.00–$43.60/hr | Full-Time | 4-Day Workweek
Diamond Fleet Solutions is seeking an experienced Reefer Technician for a commercial fleet operation in McCook, IL. This position focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining refrigerated trailer units and supporting fleet maintenance operations.

- $36.00–$43.60/hr**, based on experience
- Tuesday–Friday, 9:00 AM–7:30 PM
- Four 10-hour shifts — 3 days off each week
- 4 weeks paid time off + holiday pay
- Annual performance raises
- +$1/hr for an active CDL
- +$0.25/hr per qualifying ASE certification, up to $2/hr

- Diagnose and repair refrigerated trailer units
- Troubleshoot refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems
- Read wiring diagrams and refrigeration schematics
- Perform component repairs, adjustments, and overhauls
- Document repairs and identify warranty-related work
- Assist with tractor-trailer preventive maintenance when needed
𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬
- 3+ years of relevant mechanical or refrigeration repair experience
- Experience diagnosing electrical and mechanical systems
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Own basic professional tools
- High school diploma or GED
- Technical school certification preferred
- Ability to meet physical requirements of the position
Employment is subject to successful background screening and drug testing.
