Diamond Fleet Solutions is recruiting an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain specialized municipal and vocational equipment. Direct experience with street sweepers, sewer equipment, or refuse trucks is a plus, but technicians with strong heavy-duty, hydraulic, electrical, fleet, or equipment repair backgrounds are encouraged to apply. 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗬𝗢𝗨’𝗟𝗟 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗞 𝗢𝗡 • Refuse and trash trucks • Street sweepers • Sewer cleaning equipment • Hydraulic systems • Electrical systems • Pumps and motors • Wiring, switches, and controls • Body and equipment components • Other specialized municipal and vocational equipment 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗬𝗢𝗨’𝗟𝗟 𝗗𝗢 • Diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical problems • Troubleshoot wiring, switches, controls, pumps, motors, hoses, and related components • Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems • Perform body and equipment repairs • Complete preventive maintenance and inspections • Troubleshoot equipment failures and determine needed repairs • Work across multiple types of specialized equipment • Perform approximately 90% of your work in the shop 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗪𝗘’𝗥𝗘 𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗙𝗢𝗥 • Mechanical repair experience • Strong electrical troubleshooting ability • Hydraulic repair and diagnostic experience • Ability to diagnose problems rather than simply replace parts • Experience with heavy-duty trucks, heavy equipment, refuse equipment, municipal equipment, fleet maintenance, or similar equipment • Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics • Ability to work independently and complete repairs safely • Valid driver’s license • Comfortable working hands-on with refuse/trash trucks, street sweepers, and sewer equipment 𝗥𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗩𝗔𝗡𝗧 𝗘𝗫𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘 Experience in any of the following is especially valuable: • Refuse or trash trucks • Street sweepers • Sewer or vacuum trucks • Municipal fleet equipment • Dump trucks or other vocational trucks • Hydraulic equipment • Pumps, PTOs, motors, valves, and controls • Electrical diagnostics and wiring repair • Welding, fabrication, or body repair Direct sweeper or sewer-equipment experience is 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 if you bring strong electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, or heavy-equipment diagnostic skills and are willing to learn the equipment.
